The Death Sentence
After a few months sitting in the
prison, Rosli Dhobi, Awang Ramli Ahmit Mohd Deli, Morshi Sidek and Bujang
Suntong was found guilty and sentenced to death on December 4, 1949. Rosli Dhoby was
sent to the gallows on the morning of March 2, 1950. After the death of him, the body of
Rosli Dhoby was not allowed to the Kuching Central Prison. After Sarawak gains
their freedom on July 22, 1963, Rosli Dhobi was rested at Sarawak Islamic
Museum in Kuching after the retirement of his remains in 1996.
